How many Kling credits do you need for a video?

Data checked: October 1, 2026

Kling charges credits per second of generated video, and the rate depends on the tier. In our data, 720p · no audio uses 6 credits per second, so one finished minute is 360 credits before retakes.

To turn credits into dollars we use the published top-up rate (1 USD per 66 credits, about $0.015 per credit). Subscription plans give cheaper effective credits, but we could not confirm the credits each plan includes, so we do not price plans here.

Retakes add 30% on top of the final length (an example value). Dollar figures use the published top-up price of $0.015 per credit and are an upper bound if you buy through a plan.

How to estimate your own total

Multiply credits per second by the seconds you plan to generate, then by 1 plus your retake rate. For example, 60 seconds at 12 credits per second with 50% retakes is 60 × 12 × 1.5 = 1,080 credits.

Because the rate jumps with quality tier, the cheapest way to control cost is to draft at the lowest tier and re-render only the approved shots at a higher one.
